Turning users on to technology: hurdles of law tech evangelists

Article Abstract:

Getting busy lawyers to use unfamiliar computer software involves more than installing such equipment at their desks. At Washington, DC's Shaw, Pittman, Potts and Trowbridge importants firm management and financial data was only made available online and proved a situation in which everyone became knowledgeable about computer basics very fast. The technology must be patiently plugged. Training sessions are often held at lunch since attendance will be higher if food is offered. The initial resistance period to a major technological change is usually not longer than six months.
