Windows 95 in love-hate debut: lawyers say the system has initial problems but is worth it in long run

Article Abstract:

New users of Windows 95 seem to either love or hate it, and those considering it might want to wait until interim releases have cleared out the bugs. Many problems show up soon after installation, and a backup of the hard drive is essential as Windows 95's uninstall feature may not work. Tape backup drives, Award BIOS, and Novell groupware products are frequent sources of trouble. Word for Windows 95 may tempt many WordPerfect devotees to switch, and Windows 95 is a more stable operating system overall.

Marketing in cyberspace: from large firms to solos, lawyers are making rain on the Internet

Article Abstract:

Many law firms and sole practitioners are using World Wide Web pages on the Internet to provide potential customers with more information about the practices and specialities than is possible in a brochure. The Web pages are created using the Hypertext Markup Language and can include hypertext links enabling readers to access linked documents or memoranda. Internet Assistant, free from Microsoft, is one way to access the Web.
