Privacy protection for electronic communications and the "interception - unauthorized access" dilemma

Article Abstract:

The author discusses privacy protection for electronic communications as incorporated into the Wire Interception and Interception of Oral Communications Act. He reviews the distinction between intercepted communications and unauthorized access to stored electronic communications.

Invasion of the information snatchers: creating liability for corporations with vulnerable computer networks

This article examines the liability of corporations for failure to protect their computer networks against hackers. The author discusses ways that companies can protect themselves against liability. She concludes that legislation requiring computer network security is needed.
