Budget proposal

Article Abstract:

Investigative Reporters and Editors Inc. (IRE) plans to maintain a steady and conservative budget in the coming years given the continuing cutbacks throughout the industry in training, travel, and purchases of databases and resource center materials. Better Watchdog Workshops proved to be very useful as the organizations conducting these workshops get great volunteer speakers to go on the road and provide training to journalists at small-to-medium sized news organizations and in bureaus for larger news organizations.
