FCS moves ahead amid concerns about oversight

Article Abstract:

The next phase of the Future Combat Systems (FCS) program has been approved by the United States Department of Defense but the Pentagon and Capitol Hill are concerned with matters related to its management and oversight. FCS is a weaponry network that is planned for use in 2010 by soldiers in the United States Army.

Orbital Sciences to launch first U.S. antimissile booster

Article Abstract:

The United States Missile Defense Agency confirmed that Orbital Science Corp.'s booster rocket is scheduled for launch in the fall of 2003, ahead of Lockheed Martin's booster. The agency is planning to use the boosters to power its missile defense interceptors into space.
