Ban on broadcasting casino advertising struck down

Article Abstract:

The US Supreme Court struck down a federal ban on broadcast advertising for casino gambling in Greater New Orleans Broadcasting Co. v. The court also ruled that the ban on such broadcast advertising violated the First Amendment as applied to Louisiana broadcasters wishing to accept advertising for private commercial casinos in Louisiana and Mississippi.
