Golden rule: Donors who contribute big money reap the reward of political influence

Article Abstract:

An investigation by a newspaper, Orange County Register, documented that 100 individuals and couples invested a significant amount of $150 million into state and national races in the 2003-04 election cycle. Although the general public of a country are unaware of such people, these top donors are the ones who use their donation money to exercise political influence in their favor.

Article Abstract:

A special report on the Ohio Bureau of Worker's Compensation investing $50 million in a rare-coin fund is presented. Because of what happened at the Bureau of Workers' Compensation, several of the tips focused on whether the state's failed investment in rare coins is part of much bigger controversy involving pay-to-play politics in state government.
