Paramedic backgrounding: small station uses CAR to sift entire state's data

Article Abstract:

A decision to learn more about the background check process for emergency medical technicians (EMTs) and paramedics in Florida was taken. The investigative reporters traveled across the state to present their findings to the Republican chair of Florida Senate Committee on Health Care who pledged top introduce a law in Florida's legislature that would require criminal background checks for all EMTs and paramedics.

Separate and unequal: end of cross-town busing creates divided schools

Article Abstract:

An investigation into Columbus school district, which has become divided along several lines like race, income, student achievement, is presented. The Columbus school board had approved an equity policy, however whether it kept its promise or not was also brought up in the investigations.
