The Janus-headed arrow of time: entropy and time travel

Article Abstract:

Travelling to the past is impossible because the principles of entropy govern the passage of time. Time has an inherent forward motion, such that a clock that can move forward or backwards must be able to go beyond thermodynamic laws.

Little black holes, entropy, and enigmas of our Earth and Universe

Issues are discussed concerning the study of science fiction subjects, such as the disorder measurement entropy and black holes, to obtain a greater understanding of the Universe. Models of black hole radiation are presented.

Hubble's new views of the universe

The Hubble Space Telescope was launched in Apr. 1990, to provide astronomers with views unseen by telescopes on the ground. Hubble has yielded exciting discoveries and has confirmed numerous theories about the universe.
