The transience of memory: we really can remember it for you wholesale

Article Abstract:

Distortion of memory is discussed by studying three categories namely bias, misattribution, and suggestibility, out of the seven basic types of memory imperfections described by Daniel L. Schacter. Suggestibility, the most interesting kind of memory distortion, that is similar to implanting false memory by accident or design is discussed to explain the ways in which memory can be distorted.

Tricorders, yactograms and the future of analytical chemistry: when 'nano-' isn't small enough

Science fiction is full of instances where analytical chemistry is used, such as the tricorders used in 'Star Trek.' In the future, the use of analytical chemistry will increase with the use of nanotechnology.

One of several strong indicators that ice floated on top of a liquid ocean are the chaos regions on the surface of Europa. They look like pack ice that has broken, moved away and refroze.
