A year of plenty

Article Abstract:

An overview is presented on the use of high definition (HD) technology in video camera filming for outside broadcasts (OB) in 2004. The OB and crewing business had a booming year as a result of music events and sports events and tournaments, including Athens Olympics, Paralympics and Euro 2004. With channels investing heavily in HD technology, the future looks bright for HD.

Flying the flag for animation

Article Abstract:

The report on the UK animation industry commissioned by producers' alliance Pact shows that the total number of hours of animation shown on terrestrial networks in UK have increased. Whereas the animation done in UK reduced due to comparatively high expenses. The suggestions to give a boost to UK animation industry are presented.
