...As ITV and ITC rebuff Bazalgette's broadside

Article Abstract:

ITV, a television network, and the Independent Television Commission (ITC) have announced their opposition against Peter Bazalgette's speech calling for the cessation of ITV's in-house production and the abolition of the Broadcasting Standards Commission. ITV programs director David Liddiment said ITV's relationship with its in-house producers helps produce quality programs but criticized the way ITC is monitoring ITV. ITC said Bazalgette does not represent the all sentiments of the TV industry and misrepresented the viewers' sentiments.
