Asset strippers

Article Abstract:

BBC1 has decided to compete with ITV1 by airing five episodes of Trauma, a hospital documentary series starting at 19:00. BBC1 will follow with other programs. Stripping within the television broadcasting industry means to air one program every night at the same time each night in order to increase viewers.

The battle for the classroom

Article Abstract:

In January and Febuary of 2000, the BBC, the Anglia Multimedia, and the Granada Media Group tested interactive curriculums in 30 schools using PCs and digital TV. The Department for Education and Employment will invest 100 million pounds sterling in one of three services.
