BBC Worldwide format factory handed first US commission

BBC Worldwide's development unit has won its first US commission, with cable channel Game Show Network ordering the production of 40 episodes of the gameshow "Nerve Centre" (working title). The format of the show which is inspired by the phone-in competition "The Bong Game", and the officials in the development unit, are also discussed.

BBCW to pioneer on-demand HD in Asia after Taiwan deal

Article Abstract:

BBC Worldwide (BBCW) has signed a three-year contract with Taiwan-based telecommunications company Chungwa, making BBC the first provider of on-demand high definition television content provider in Asia. BBC will start offering 300 hours of flagship shows in Taiwan in spring of 2008. The scope of the deal is provided.
