BBC's big regional idea

Article Abstract:

Information is presented on BBC's regional broadcasting strategy. With controller of English regions Andy Griffee leading the operations from Birmingham, BBC is planning to use its existing radio stations and digital distribution to broadcast twenty-four hours of regional television news across the UK. Griffee outlines the regional plans and discusses ITV's scaling back of its non-news regional output.
