Parody and copyright

Article Abstract:

Radio stations can do parodies without infringing copyrights if they adhere to fair use rules. Parodies must meet relevant criteria regarding nature of use, the market effect of the use, the particular works involved, and the amount of the original used in the parody. The US Supreme Court has laid down specific criteria for parodies.
