Broadband by powerline: Switching on to an old idea

Article Abstract:

Many communications and utility companies such as RWE, Ascom, Mannheim's MVV, and EnBW are offering powerline solutions, which allow an internal network to receive satellite, DSL, or cable, by distribution through the user's home air conditioning supply. This new technology is attractive to consumers in that it provides these services at a lower price.
