EEO rulemaking

Article Abstract:

The FCC's proposed rulemaking notice on equal employment opportunities in broadcasting signals the Commission's determination to review areas such as processing EEO violations, forfeiture guidelines, and relief for smaller stations. The FCC plans to increase or decrease its base violations forfeiture rate by considering the particular circumstances of the violating station. The revised standards will also cover situations resulting in short-term license renewals.

Broadcast station tower rulemaking

Article Abstract:

Three proposals regarding the construction of digital television transmission facilities are before the Federal Communications Commission.
