First shots exchanged in battle to shape PSB

Article Abstract:

Mark Thompson (BBC), Michael Grade (ITV), Andy Duncan (Channel 4) and Jane Lighting (Five) participated in a debate at the Royal Television Society Cambridge Convention on the future structure of public service broadcasting (PSB). All four participants agree that a wide range of regulated programming should be universally available and free of charge. Their opinions on the PSB model are presented.
