Granada Media in Liverpool link-up

Article Abstract:

The Liverpool Football Club and Granada Media announced that Granada has taken a 9.9 percent equity stake in Liverpool FC for #22 million. The media company has acquired new shares created by Liverpool and chairman David Moored remains the majority shareholder in the club with 51.4 percent of the enlarged share capital. A Granada spokeperson said that ir was not buying a club but entering into a deal that makes it a partner in Liverpool's off-field activities

Alan Hayling will be starting at Mentorn Barraclough Carey as the head of development. His career has taken him from training at the BBC to founding and owning documentary and film making companies, to editing documentaries. Hayling is returning to his interest in making documentaries again, and plans to diversify their subject matter.
