High demand fuels rapid growth in VFX

Article Abstract:

Top post-production companies in the UK are trying to meet the growing demand from the television broadcasting companies by investing heavily on visual effects (VFX). Unit is opening CGI division Unit FX in 2008, focusing on TV idents and commercials. Unit's plans, and the reasons behind the growth in demand for broadcast VFX, are discussed.
