Indies face tough regime over trust

Article Abstract:

The BBC and Channel 4 are pushing to amend their programming contracts with independent producers, brought about by the trust crisis in television broadcasting. Channel 4 is proposing financial recompense if a program fails, while t he BBC proposes stricter editorial compliance clauses. The removal of RDF in the production of "A Year with the Queen" is also discussed.

CBeebies orders comedy, animation and pop show

Article Abstract:

CBeebies has commissioned comedy show Grandpa in My Pocket from Adastra Creative, animated series 3rd & Bird! from US- based Little Airplane Productions, and pop show Carrie & David's Popshop from BBC Scotland. All three shows are slated to air next year.
