The British Broadcasting Corp. plans to cut the budget of Storyville, a documentary show, from 2.2 to 1 million pounds sterling. The proposed move has gone under heavy criticism from documentary makers, who believe the show satisfies the BBC's public purposes. The move might also benefit digital broadcasters.
