Jowell stance on C4 slammed

Article Abstract:

Media Secretary Tessa Jowell has been criticized by broadcasters and producers for suggesting that Ofcom, the new TV regulatory organization, should have the ability to ban the repeats of controversial shows as those programs are being investigated. The statement by Jowell stems from a "Brass Eye" special that satirized media representatoins of pedophilia.

The new law for indies

Article Abstract:

The new terms of trade revealed by Channel 4 with regard to the broadcaster-independent relations, are interpreted. According to the new law the independent producers of TV programs have complete authority over their productions and are clear with their share of revenue that can be generated through broadcasting the programs.
