Article Abstract:

A Channel 5 eight-part documentary titled "Hard Bastards" examines the criminal underworld. Each episode of the series is an interview with men who were featured in Kate Kray's book of the same title. Kray helped to develop the interviews, and Chris Shaw commissioned the piece for Channel 5.

Lygo promises C5 will look after top series

Article Abstract:

Channel 5 director of programming Kevin Lygo says in an interview that the channel hopes to air programs other than movies in the 9 PM time slot, with the expectation that Channel 5 would be able to win series that are shown in later time slots on other channels. Lygo has restructured the programming team at the 4-year old channel, where nothing is sacred. Lygo says that Channel 5 can thus afford to be innovative.
