Minority report

Article Abstract:

The television broadcasting industry has 8.4% and radio broadcasting has 8.8% ethnic minority as employees. The industry average is very low given its location in and around London where about a quarter of the people working are ethnic minorities. The measures taken to improve the representation of the minorities are discussed.

Report says five indies will dominate market by 2014

Article Abstract:

The reports released on the state of the independent production sector in the UK by Ofcom and Mediatique says that the five super Indies will dominate the market by 2014. The key findings in the Ofcom report includes the super Indies share of commission from BBC is 70% and from ITV1 is 83%.
