Nursing a doctors script onto the screen

Article Abstract:

Writing of the first script for a soap opera of BBC1 Doctors and the germ of an idea about a couple with scabies is discussed. Writing for Doctors' is hard work for everyone but the rewards are great as some writers move on to become regular writers on East Enders, Casualty or Holby.
