Painful self-analysis

Article Abstract:

BBC head of television news Roger Mosey discusses the BBC's Hutton coverage, his aim being to show how harmful Lord Hutton was for this channel. On 'Question Time' Oliver Letwin won applause when he stated that the BBC had reported on itself with an astonishing degree of impartiality, a painful self-analysis, and no other broadcasting organization would have done that, showing the BBC's responsibility towards the public.
