The new media rights regulations, meant to address the interpretation problems arising from adoption of latest technologies, have become a bone of contention between television production companies and television broadcasting industry. The implications of these new media rights, for television production companies and television broadcasting industry, are also discussed.

Why big isn't bad

The recent issues related to independent television producers are discussed. Independent television production companies are far too small when compared to independent companies in other sectors like advertising. Consequently, concerns related to super-indies grabbing the market shares are not justified.
