The third series of "Dragon's Den" on BBC2, which has a real sense of jeopardy joined by entertainment values, is the top popular factual program for 2006. This is followed by second series of "The Apprentice" and series three of "Who Do You Think You Are?". The top channels and producers for popular factual programs are also presented.

"Life on Mars" is an original, yet appealingly nostalgic drama series, making it the most creative of the genre for 2006. Several standout shows make BBC1 the most creative channel for drama series, and Kudos is the most creative producer. The most creative single dramas and single drama channels and producers are also given.

Multichannel

Article Abstract:

"Death of a President" on Channel 4's digital channel More 4 is the most creative multichannel program, but producer Borough Films fear that there will be less original programming on More 4 due to budget cuts. Sky One's shows put it on the top of the most creative channels. The top producers for multichannel are also given.
