Positive signs in the stop-and-start world of VOD

Article Abstract:

Video-on-demand (VOD), is a growing market in the UK economy, with the benefits of high capacity networks, existing subscriber bases, and solid billing infrastructures. The major factor holding people back from investing in VOD, however, is the high cost. BT is softening this financial dilemma by planning for a cheaper upgrade, extending VOD coverage from 3.5 km to 5.5km, and dropping the entry level requirement currently in use.
