Primetime is in need of a genuine three-way fight

Article Abstract:

A review of the television programs on different channels in prime time is presented. The television audience ratings of these programs are presented along with the relevant statistics. The prime time market is dominated by ITV1 and BBC1 with no other contender. Both channels seem to have become complacent about their market shares.

BBC defends arts boost

The British Broadcasting Co.'s focus on more arts programming has been defended by the company's television director, Jana Bennett. BBC has come under criticism for planning to cut lifestyle programs in favor of arts programming.
