Jane Root, BBC2 Controller has confirmed that she will be heading the Discovery Channel in the U.S. and would be leaving BBC. She stated that BBC2 would concentrate on a number of high cost, ambitious dramas in an effort to spend the hard earned money by developing a proper strategy.
