Article Abstract:

An interview is presented with Sir Howard Stringer, chief executive and chairman of Sony Corporation of America, and former president of CBS. He was responsible for the recent merger of SonyEs music division with GermanyEs BMG, and for the deal with the film studio MGM. He explains that Sony is not interested in buying any British channels as it is currently busy launching its own channels, but it is open to partnerships with UK indies.
