The darker side of Dickens

Article Abstract:

Carnival Films produced "The Old Curiosity Shop" for ITV1, an adaptation of Charles Dicken's novel of the same title. Martyn Hesford wrote the script for the drama which peers into the world of addiction, and was filled in Dublin for over 2 million pounds sterling. The production of "The Old Curiosity Shop" and how it can appeal to the UK audience are discussed.
