A profile of Mostefa Souag, editorial chief at al-Jazeera's United Kingdom office, is presented. Recently, Souag opted to report on a document that alleged that George Bush was suggesting bombing al-Jazeera's Qatar HQ. Implications of such an act are discussed by Souag.

A middle way in the Middle East

The recent launch of Arabic channel al-Jazeera's English service al-Jazeera English (AJE), is discussed. Speculations over maintaining a balance between a Arabic worldview and Ofcom's guidelines, as discussed by AJE's managing director Nigel Parsons, are presented.
