Article Abstract:

Yorkshire-Tyne Tees Television (Y-TTTV) director of programming John Whiston, known as the inventor of themed nights, was welcomed with relief by the programme producers of the station when Whiston joined Y-TTTV in January 1998. One employee of Y-TTTV described Whiston as an accomplished and instinctive programme-maker whose approach is supportive and fantastic and talks the language of his subordinates. Whiston is excited on Yorkshire TV's (YTV) upcoming ITV documentary series entitled, "Trauma Team," and a couple of specials that were planned with Roger Cook, an undercover investigator.
