'Undervalued' ITV is one of few gainers

Article Abstract:

Few media companies in the Broadcast 20 increased in value due to the negative market environment, and ITV is one of them with its stock price up 5.1% to 73.7p. Dresdner Kleinwort claimed that the market was undervaluing ITV's businesses, and its share in Freeview and Friends Reunited. A table of other media companies' stock prices is also presented.

Giants' results mask marginal growth

Article Abstract:

The majority of listed broadcast companies' market price rose in the week ending September 9, 2007, with only five companies losing value. The sector's aggregate value has grown, amidst the decline of the majority of broadcast companies' value, due to the contributions BSkyB and ITV. A table of broadcast sector's market prices is also supplied.
