Article Abstract:

BBC governors discovered in the last annual report that long since ended sitcoms are regularly outperforming the new lines of shows. Article discusses in further detail the performance of the former sitcoms that are still being aired and an accompanying table shows the BBC 1 sitcom survivors 1996-99 listing category (20 most repeated shows ranked by audience), premiere (year), episodes produced, repeats work rate, and average audience in millions along with average/totals (1996-99) by season and showing repeats and average audience (millions).
