Two-part marginal cost pricing in a pure fixed cost economy

Article Abstract:

The optimality and existence of the two-part marginal cost pricing scheme is analyzed using a general equilibrium model with non-convex technologies. The analysis showed that the pricing scheme is an optimal pricing regulation for monopolies if increasing returns to scale results solely from the presence of fixed costs. It was also revealed that, under the bounded losses condition, a sufficient condition for the existence of two-part marginal cost pricing equilibria is provided.

Maximal elements and fixed points for binary relations on topological ordered spaces

Article Abstract:

Tools and data for mathematical economics traditionally linked to topological vector spaces can also be developed in topological partially ordered spaces. Convexity can be discarded, although order theoretical hypotheses still have to be introduced. Existence results can be derived for the largest elements of a weak preference relation of maximal elements for a strict preference relation.

On core-Walras equivalence in Banach spaces when feasibility is defined by the Pettis integral

Article Abstract:

The core-Walras equivalence problem in the commodity space framework of Banach spaces is studied, allocations being defined as Pettis integrable functions. It deals with the infinite dimensional commodity space with the impact of heterogeneity of preferences that may appear in an economy with a continuum of agents when the commodity space is large.
