Which survey indicators are useful for monitoring consumption? Evidence from European countries

Article Abstract:

A composite indicator is constructed using sample data from eight European countries for analysis of buyerEs sentiment and sellerEs confidence based on retail trade surveys. For these countries efficiency gains can be achieved by using composite indicators in the monitoring consumption.
