A betrayal of our heritage: The awards process is broken

Article Abstract:

A discussion is presented on military awards and decorations, and the problems related to the awards system. Senior officers and enlisted leaders are concerned that the guidelines for administration of the awards process are not followed even during peace time, hence its validity will be threatened in wartime. Thus, appropriate criteria must be clearly established and followed so that comparable acts are rewarded consistently and similarly.

Airstrike: A response to Joseph Collins

Article Abstract:

Major General Charles J. Dunlap, the author of the essay, 'America's asymmetric advantage' responds to Professor Joseph J. Collins's spirited defense of the ground perspective while commenting on his essay. Dunalap raises exception to Collins' implication of his article as someone else' 'camouflaged statement' and justifies his views in the essay.

Learning partnerships: Government and industry exec go back to school

Government-industry learning partnerships are described as a very effective mode of learning for military officers and defense departments. The importance of the expansion programs is discussed, as it provides a unique insight to the culture, requirement and the challenges that individuals come across.
