AFA 2003 National Convention: toward a new style of warfare

Article Abstract:

Senior Air Force and national leaders as well as top private experts got together at the AFA's International Symposium held in September 16-17 in Washington D.C. to review and assess the progress of and lessons from the Global War on terrorism. The development of USAF's expeditionary capabilities, the emergence of true jointness as a critical force multiplier, and the power of precision weapons and information to transform operations in the modern battle space were discussed.

Challenges ahead for military space

Article Abstract:

Some significant challenges and issues confronting military space were discussed at an Air Force Association (AFA) symposium in Los Angeles on November 15 2003. The evolution of United States Air Force (USAF) organizations to implement recommendations of the 2001 Space Commission and the health of the space industrial base was particularly noted.

Iran, North Korea top new threats list

Article Abstract:

The latest version of the ' National Security Strategy of the United States of America revealed that Iran poses the greatest near-term security threat to the US, followed by North Korea in 2006. New names are added to the list of nations hostile to the interests of the US, but China is not among them.
