Air heads

Article Abstract:

Benjamin Lambeth's 'Air Power Against Terror: America's Conduct of Operation Enduring Freedom', a Rand Corp study funded by the US Air Force is the first book-length treatment of the war from an insider's perspective on the promises and limitations of air command. It is believed that the achievements of air power are lost in an ineffective official message and a debilitating inter- and inner-service battle.

European stationing

Article Abstract:

A brief argument on the preparation of the ground and air forces for future basing shifts of the troops is done. While some U.S. Army officials favor stationing troops in countries to the east of Germany on a one-year-rotation basis, others feel that opportunities for using airspace in Eastern Europe are better.
