Army Installations - the 'hometowns of combat power'

Article Abstract:

The US Chief of Staff for installation Management indicates that Army installations where soldiers prepare to fight, form winning teams raise, their families and reach back for support to serve the nation are the hometowns of combat power. The Army's Installation Management team is committed to making transformation a reality that will be visible throughout the Army, to develop a culture of innovation that increases the Army's agility to readily integrate future technologies and processes.

Transforming the personnel community to a more effective expeditionary force

Article Abstract:

The Deputy Chief of Staff, G-1 states that his department is focused on manning the joint and expeditionary Army, stabilizing the force, improving the well-being of the force and transforming personnel services delivery. G-1 is helping the US Army in pursuing transformational changes, by changing policies, training and behavior to create a culture that embraces the operational and organizational challenges of today's turbulent security environment.

Building relevant family readiness groups for an expeditionary army

Article Abstract:

The US Army is transforming itself into a quality expeditionary force, which is more deployable, modular and lethal. As the Army becomes more expeditionary, it must continue to assess family readiness groups (FRGs) and how they would fulfill their role of supporting soldiers and contributing to unit readiness.
