Australia awaits delivery of SINCGARS frequency-hopping radios

Article Abstract:

ITT Industries would begin deliveries of SINCGARS ASIP VHF frequency-hopping radios to the Australian Ministry of Defense in April 2006. The Australian SINCGARS installations would take the form of some 100 VRC-92 dual radio sets with 50 W power amplifiers and routers for network operations.

Singapore advances soldier modernization

Article Abstract:

The Advanced Combat Man System (ACMS) ensemble concept, initiated in 2002 after experiments with Futuristic Soldier System programme, is a part of soldier modernization of the Singapore Armed Forces, to equip battalions in an urban warfare role. The main components of the ACMS ensemble include a computer or command-and-control information system (CCIS), a helmet-mounted display, weapon camera and deployed sensors, personal protection gear, a load bearing vest and hydration system, and a personal weapon, which is usually a SAR 21modular mounting system.
