The combing force: Marine gears--link between prime movers and propulsors

Article Abstract:

The issues surrounding the selection of the transmission system for the different naval vessels types, such as fast combatants, conventional combatants and naval auxiliaries and minor vessels are discussed. The benefits and drawbacks of all-electric, all-mechanical and hybrid systems are examined, in the context of different challenges posed by each vessel type for the propulsion system designer and provider.

Naval communications- internet helps to close coalitions' communications technology gaps

Article Abstract:

Internet is becoming an increasingly reliable method of communication to rely on than other traditional ways like radio and thus bridges the communication gaps that were earlier experienced. The implementation and penetration of this medium into naval warfare and communications areas is discussed.
