Cormorant bids for Canada's maritime helicopter

Article Abstract:

A consortium consisting of Italy's Agusta, the UK's GKN Westland and Boeing is pitching its Cormorant helicopter in Canada's maritime helicopter competition. Team Cormorant is touting the rotorcraft as the 'ideal multi-role, low-cost, low-risk solution' to meet the requirement for as many as 32 aircraft. Canada is expected to place an order in late 2000 or early 2001.

Information regarding the command of coalition task force by the United States and Canada in the war on terrorism is given. The coalition will protect the gulf of arabia and the gulf of oman.
