Capt. Aisha Bakkar-Poe, Commander of Marine Detachment, Ft. Meade, Md., describes the training given to the Marines to become journalists, photographers, graphic artists, videographers, and public affairs officers. The primary mission of the unit is to tell the story of the Marines, which not only include the details of the war strategy, weapons acquisitions, but also about the people who win the battles.

CDR Doug Denneny, Commanding Officer Strike Fighter Squadron Two, an F/A-18F unit, recounts his involvement in the liberation of Iraq. He describes about his deployment on the carrier USS Constellation, which was its last deployment, and the way it fared in the war against Iraqis in Baghdad.

Marine Corps aircraft

Article Abstract:

AV-8B Harrier II and F/A-18 Hornet are the two tactical jet fighter aircrafts with the Marine Corps' fighter-attack squadrons. F- 35 Joint Strike Fighter, KC-130 Hercules, EA-6B Powler, MV-22 Osprey are the other aircrafts inducted in the aircraft squadron of the Marine Corps.
