Combat aircraft: the new breed is coming

Article Abstract:

The article features major new-generation combat aircraft being developed around the world. The feature article provides status report on developments on new-generation combat aircraft, fourth and a half or fifth generation, their operational and commercial implications. Combat aircraft covered includes Joint Strike Fighter (JSF), the Lockheed Martin F-22 RAPTOR, the JAS-39 GRIPEN, Boeing F/A-18E/F Super HORNET, the EUROFIGHTER, the Dassault RAFALE, and the Chengdu F-10.

MEADS to proceed

Article Abstract:

NATO MEADS Management Agency granted MEADS International a US$216.35 million contract for the Risk Reduction Effort phase of the program. The U.S. financed 55%, Germany 28% and Italy 17%.
